You collect the bags from customers or visitors load and unload(bus, plane, ship etc). Making sure the right bags are placed aboard the correct carrier. Some even check to make certain that all bags have owner ID tags.

Apply for TSA unless you like to work out at work.
Okay it depends on the airline that you applied for you could possibliy be loading & unloading baggage, bringing the planes in, and cleaning the planes or doing security checks.
Hopefully you applied at Southwest (they treat their people the best) but either way you’ll fly for free
